Adult Christian Education Classes

Room 5 – Join us as we begin a new study in the Book of Job followed by a study in the Book of Revelation. This study meets in room 5 and is taught by Albert Guerrero. This class runs year round. This class is currently meeting.

Room 6 – Join us for in-depth, verse-by-verse study of the The Book of Romans. This study meets in room 6 and is taught by Mike Paterson. Fall class is scheduled to resume on September 13, 2020.

Monday Evening Young Adult ~ Limbo Bible Study

Monday Evening from 6:30 to 8:30PM

This class is currently meeting.

Do you feel you are in Limbo in the journey of life? Whether that be; you recently graduated high school or college, not in the field of work you desire yet, in-between jobs, starting an internship, or just moved here and haven’t settled in- the Limbo group is just where you need to be! For: Young adults, Age 18 and up, 20s and 30s. We meet Monday evenings from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Limbo meets year round and is currently studying the Book of Galatians. Tuesday Evening Men’s Bible Study

Tuesday Evening @ 7 PM

Fall Class scheduled to resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

Join Pastor Kris for a Survey of Job. Job is considered one of the oldest books of the Bible and asks its readers to grapple with many challenging questions such as the nature of God, the problem of suffering/evil, etc. Pastor Kris has been preaching on Job, this is an opportunity to actually engage in conversation about themes in Job and work through the tough questions in community. This Bible study meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:45 pm in the fellowship hall.  Per our reopening guidelines based on the state regulations, we do ask participants to please wear a mask.  All are welcome. Wednesday Morning PEACE Bible Study

3rd Wednesday @ 9 AM  

This class is currently meeting.

PEACE Bible Study meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 9 AM in the choir conference room. The current study is “We Still Believe,” a 7 part study on key biblical themes in Lutheran doctrine that are at risk in the Church today. All are welcome. Thursday Morning Exodus Bible Study

Thursday Morning @ 9 – 10 AM

Class start is still to be determined.

Join us Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 AM as we continue our in-depth study of the Book of Exodus. Our study will will pick up in chapter 19 and move onto chapter 20 focusing on the Ten Words and the covenant given at Mount Sinai and continue through the golden calf and the tabernacle.

Adult Ministries

The “Older Wiser LutheranS,” known as the OWLS meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the Fellowship Hall at 1:30 pm to play card games, board games, dominoes and Mah Jong. The contact person is Jackie Pierce (760)608-2883.


Via de Cristo is a meaningful and potential life-changing weekend retreat for adults to learn about the Christian faith and experience the meaning of grace.  It is held once in the Spring and again in the Fall.  To attend a weekend retreat please contact the church office for details at 760-375-9768 or office.manager@gracelutheran.org.


Similar to Via de Cristo is the Epiphany weekend retreat given for incarcerated youth.  Helpers for an Epiphany weekend should have attended a Via de Cristo weekend.  These weekends are scheduled at various times during the year.  Please contact the church office for further details at 760-375-9768 or office.manager@gracelutheran.org.


Grace Lutheran has a prayer chain that gathers prayer requests, then prays for each one and then passes the request to the next person on the chain either by phone or email.  To be added to the prayer chain or to add a prayer request to the chain, please contact the church office at 760-375-9768 or office.manager@gracelutheran.org.


Holiday Food Baskets are prepared and delivered before Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Volunteers are always welcome to shop, organize and deliver food.  This ministry is coordinated with the Salvation Army in Ridgecrest.  Please contact the church office either to help with the food baskets or to receive one at 760-375-9768 or office.manager@gracelutheran.org.
